2011 JÜNG AT HEART - HERITAGE RETREAT

TURKEY RUN STATE PARK

8102 E. Park Road

Marshall, Indiana 47859

Well it is that time again – time to begin thinking about the Jüng Family Reunion!  Boy, where has the time gone!!  This reunion will be a first.  This reunion we are going to try something totally different - a Jüng Family “Retreat” spread over three days!

Whether you’ve always attended the reunions in years past, have missed a couple here or there, or have never attended before, you don’t want to miss this reunion / retreat.  Being a Jüng descendant is more than a name – it is your heritage.  It’s where your roots lie.  Attending a reunion is more than eating, sitting around visiting and listening to old stories.  It’s about re-connecting with family or establishing a connection for the first time – but having a lot of FUN while doing just that!

This year’s upcoming retreat will be held at beautiful Turkey Run State Park in Marshall, Indiana.  Located just short of 3½ hours Southeast of Chicago, or 4 hours Northeast of St. Louis, or 1½ hours West of Indianapolis, Turkey Run is easily accessible from interstates.  It offers an abundance of outdoor and indoor activities including 14 miles of trails for hiking, inner tubing, canoeing, horseback riding, tennis and indoor and outdoor swimming pools in a very peaceful, serene setting.

The park has an Inn with wonderful food and an indoor pool, cabins and a campground.  Please visit Turkey Run’s website at www.turkeyrunstatepark.com/ or www.in.gov/dnr/parklake/inns/turkeyrun/ to learn more about the park, the inn and facilities and to get directions.

We hope that everyone will attend all the days of the reunion.  However, we realize that some may still only attend for one day and not be able to attend multiple days.  With that in mind, we have broken down the prices for attending the reunion to accommodate everyone.

REGISTRATION:  All attendees must pay the following base price, whether they will be attending one day or multiple days:              Adults   $21.00              Children Ages 4 – 11     $14.00              Children 3 and Under     $5.00

THE DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION and PAYMENT OF MEALS IS MARCH 31, 2011.  We must have your registration by the deadline due to the commitment to reserve the indoor facility and meeting room for Saturday night activities.  Your registration fees and payment of meals may be broken into 2 payment installments, if needed with the first installment due March 31, 2011 and the second installment due April 30, 2011.

FOOD:  Saturday night is a planned group dinner and program.  Sunday night is a planned group cook-out.

Turkey Run also has a wonderful, onsite restaurant called Narrows Restaurant.  They offer buffet style or order off of the menu.  Buffet prices on your own are as follows and do not include drink, tax or tip: Breakfast $7.99; Lunch $8.49; Dinner $11.99-$12.99; or order off of the menu.  Saturday, Sunday and Monday breakfast is on your own.

On Sunday, those who wish to eat as a group for the lunch buffet may do so with each person paying on their own.  However, we will need a head count to reserve seating for all of us, so please indicate if you will be dining with us as a group for Sunday lunch/brunch.

LODGING:  Turkey Run Inn is an extremely popular getaway and sells out 2 years in advance.  The Jüng Family “Retreat” is also over the 4th of July Holiday weekend.  Individual room reservations can be made now and cancelled later if required, so don’t delay or you will miss out!

THE DEADLINE FOR LODGING RESERVATIONS IS JANUARY 31, 2011.  Currently, we have been able to reserve all of the rooms at the Inn and cabins (in advance).  After that date, the block of rooms will be released and reservations will be on a first come, first serve basis to the general public.  We can not stress enough the importance of reserving your room early!

Reservations can be made online at http://www.in.gov/dnr/parklake/inns/turkeyrun/.  Or by calling 765-597-2211.  Group Name: Jung Family Reunion.  Group Code: 0701JF.
