It’s Time for the 2005 “Now We’re Cooking” -- Jüng Reunion

Mark your calendars for June 25-26, 2005.  You won’t want to miss what the Jüng Reunion Committee is cooking up for you!    The picnic will be held at the newly constructed and air  conditioned Davis Lodge, located on beautiful Lake Bloomington.

  Because of Ma & Pa Jung starting this big family and subsequent reunions, we are all members of one big cooking pot.  So, appropriately, we have decided to give this year’s reunion a theme – “Now We’re Cooking”.  In keeping with this year’s theme, we have decided to compile an awesome Jung Family cookbook with all the Jung family favorites!   Everyone is encouraged to submit their favorite family recipe(s) for the cookbook via email, along with a picture of their family or the recipe’s “chef” if they so desire. Sharing more than one recipe would be great. We want your Favorites!   The deadline for submitting the recipe(s) and photo(s) is May 1, and should be sent in Microsoft Word format via email to Stacy Kennedy – slkennedy1@sbcglobal.net. The Jung Family “Now We’re Cooking” cookbooks will be available to purchase for only $5.00.  HOWEVER, if you are one of the 1^st ten (10) people to submit a recipe, you will receive your cookbook absolutely FREE!! 

Rather than catering the event, the reunion committee will be cooking / grilling up some tasty dishes for the reunion.  The main course will consist of Pork Loin, Italian Beef, Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, Corn, Green Beans, and Baked Beans, with Coffee, Water, and Lemonade for beverages.  Please bring (snack, salad, fruit, side dish, or dessert) to share – maybe one of the recipe(s) you submit!!

The cost for this year’s Jüng Reunion is as follows:

Your Jüng Reunion Committee has pulled out all the stops to make this year’s event an event with food and activities for everyone.  We want all of the participants to have a good time and we realize that if this reunion is going to continue, the younger generations need to enjoy the reunion as well as the older generations.  Make sure that you arrive early so you don’t miss out on any of the fun, door prizes, or activities!  Be sure to bring your lawn chairs, your sports equipment and your enthusiasm!  There will be a Bounce House for the Jünger kids.  For the older reunion participants, we will have the usual volleyball and softball games.   

And………..for the “Jüng” at Heart – High School ages and up, there will be the opportunity to play some Poker!    For those who still have energy in the evening, there will be music and dancing – BUT we need YOUR CD’s – big band, swing, disco, rock and roll, Top 40, etc.  Please mark your CD’s with your name.

5:00 - ?? Dancing ‘til the cows come home – and eat leftovers
